Is the yfz450 really worth buying over the raptor for paying like an extra $600? I would like to hear some people's comments about the YFZ450. Also what is the stock speed of the yfz if anyone has the answer

Depends on your size, if your 6' or better get the rappy. The YFZ will get cramped after a few hours in the seat if your tall, the seat is fairly close to the pegs.. .02

Sorry Spin, but the YFZ is not uncomfortable unless you are 6'-2" and weigh 300 lbs. I am 6' even, weigh 225 and I do ride my YFZ all day and it is not cramped or uncomfortable at ALL!! The only problem I have with the bike is that I can't stop smilin' while I ride it. It is without a doubt the best quad for my type of riding...FAST!!!! whether it's the dunes or tight twisty trails.

I'm not over 6 foot... (5'11" here) but I do have chronic back issues and I judge my back by how much it hurts not whether it hurts or not... I ride a YFZ and was worried about it before I got it, but I find that I'm actually very comfortable on it and my back loves the support of the stiff seat. One sit on a Banshee and I get an instant pang of pain in the back because of its super thick and overly soft seat doesn't give much support and you end up sitting too much on it because its got such a soft seat... all the bumps go straight through the seat into your back. The stiff seat of the YFZ is very supportive and since it doesn't feel like a lazy boy you have no problem getting up and letting your legs absorb alot of the rough ride.

I am 6'3" 165lbs, I rode a yfz and it felt a little snug. The handlebars could have been tilted up a little more. The performance made up for it, I loved the way it handled. The raptor did not feel very good to me, feels tall and clumbsy. I would choose a yfz over a raptor, or even my Z any day. Well worth the extra money.

Might want to see what honda has coming.

My 2 cents

Do you feel as though the YFZ has as comfortable ergos as the rappy? I have ridden both and I don't think that it takes a rocket scientist to figure that the rappy has more leg room. You may feel as though comfort is not an issue but to some it is.
