Default Handlebar Question...

I run Renthal Fatbars on my CRF and like not having a crossbar. Can you remove the bolted on crossbar from a standard (say Tag X5s) 7/8" bar? I wan't to put on a bar w/o the supper high bend of the stock bar, but don't like the crossbar.

Take the Renthal Fat bar, it has wall 5mm thick @ the bends for strength. The Tag X5 7/8" bar has a 5mm wall as well until the ends of the bar. The stock steel bar on the YFZ does not have a crossbar.

Yes selector, you can - I just did it last night. Definately offers a "cleaner" appearance. I tried loading mine (w/ the Tag X5s) and comparing them to my wife's stocker similarly loaded. They appear to be equal - go for it. You'll need to improvise on the clamp pad though - or at least the cover.

No problem... My wife made my last pad cover and probably won't mind making me another. She's a good girl.

I should have said days "long" gone by". Besides, I'd rather have a jug of gas than a dime bag.

At least now this thread is getting some action.
