warn 424 easy to install?
#2
Its very easy. The hardest part is breaking loose the bolts that hold the front differential in place. They are really tight. You will have to back out the bolts on the lower right A-arm to get the bolts of the differential out. ( Its hard to explain but you will see) The drive shaft just about falls out. You put the spring, clips, and boots (My '98 doesn't have boots ) from the old drive shaft on the 424. There's a little bit more to do but its really easy to install. I did it in about an hour, but I had my old drive shaft ( keep your old one for the spring and clips )out before the 424 even came to the house. Just follow the instructions and you will be OK. Wait 'till you take your first ride in 2WD. Your Wolverine will feel like a whole different quad. MAKE SURE YOU LEAN IN THE TURNS, MORE THAN YOU DID WHEN IT WAS 4WD. I almost rolled mine in the yard my first ride. It takes some getting use to. Good Luck!
