Question for all of you yfz450 owners.... How often do you suspect before you need to re-ring or rebuild the motor? A salesman at a local shop the other day said every 15hrs.......... I may be wrong, but that sure seems way too often and a PIA.............Just curious......thanks

You have got to be kidding?!??!!??!?!??!? That salesman was high and should be fired. The break in period for the YFZ, according to the owner's manual, is 20 hrs!!!! I doubt that anyone, including myself, actually waited that long to hammer the throttle though!!!! Stop listening to salesman. When I went in to buy mine, I knew way more about the bike than all the salesmen there.'

Same here....I knew way more about most of the quads than any of the sales people...more so that other customers were asking me questions instead of the sales guys...

Go back and tell him to stop smoking crack!!!!!!!!!!

One time a sales person talked so much $hit about the Banshee…. and how the raptor is the fastest bike on the market….bla bla bla. When I asked him what type of quad he owned I said he doesn’t…I just started laughing and walked away…

I must be coming on my second rebuild as I put 30+ hours on mine so far and never used a drop of oil
