Are new rockers needed?

Default Are new rockers needed?

I was told that I need to replace my rockers when I put in my new cam. Is this true, and if it is were can i get them.

No but you will have to replace the springs with a more aggressive cam.

You ARE suposed to replace the rocker arms since the wear pads arent removable. When you replace the rockers you are also suposed to replace the rocker shafts. An easier route would be to get the stockers cleaned up. Alot of people just dont bother but when one piece has wear and the other is brand new then they rub on each other, it causes accelerated wear on the new part.

I just figured it was the warrior in his siggy. Your are suposed to clean up whatever rides on the cam on any machine when u get a cam. I guess you dont have too... it just makes it last longer.

yeah your are right I am talking about for my warrior. What would be the easiest way for me to clean up those pads? This is the first four stroke that i am rebuilding and I'm kinda clueless. Thanks for the help
