Oil cooler for warrior
#2
Mickey Dunlap's Four Stroke Tech (814) 842-6159 has one. I think I paid about $107.00 for it, including shipping. It took me about an hour and a half to install it. You use your stock clutch cover and drill and tap two 1/8" pipe tap holes in it. It comes with directions and everything you need except the pipe tap and drill bits. It mounts on the top of the frame ahead of the upper shock mounts with zip ties. I've had mine about a year now.

An oil cooler is a means (the easiest means on a Warrior) to remove heat from the engine. A cooler running engine will last longer and undergo less stress, especially important if you are going to hop it up. Adding a bigger cam, boring and/or stroking it, and a larger carb will allow more fuel to be burned. This generates more power, but also will generate more heat. It also helps the life of the oil and it's ability to lubricate if it is kept as cool as possible. Many manufacturers include an oil cooler, such as Honda's 400ex, or some of Yamaha's utility quads. In answer to "hmforawarrior"s question about a power increase, it isn't anything that you can feel, like adding a pipe & K&N to it. If you set down and do the thermal equations on paper there will be an slight increase in power, but I added mine for increase longitivity because of other power mods that I have done or plan on doing.
