690 vs. 686
From what I read they go back and forth. But I have seen nothing. All I know that to me, without even having one, craycraft is better just because of the fact that I called Sparks over a year ago and I was put on a waiting list and they told me it would be over a year before I could even get headwork from them. Craycraft said less than 3 weeks

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there is much of a choice!
Sparks = 1-yr. wait - what a joke! They do make some of the fastest bkes I have seen though (don't know about dunability though.)
Craycraft = Quick turn-around , reasonable prices, not as big of a name as Trinity
Trinity = don't know what their current turn-a-round is but, last I heard about 6-8 weeks (which I would say is reasonalbe), power - lacking from what I have seen. Sure, I know there are fast Trinity bikes out there but, many I have seen have come out of there with less power than I would have expected.
Powroll = haven't seen one run and don't know how their lead-time is.
Sam Coe - they are on the bottom of the list for a reason - do a search on the DS forum for what Sam Coe has done recently
And I thought it was tough to get a DS modified! At least you can get the piston direct and get your bore done locally. As for the head work, I wouldn't want to do that work myself!

Yes, that would work but I am sure that the head would benefit from an overbore. It would help unshroud the valves. If I was going to get a new piston and cam, I would just save up the money and get everything done at once, so that way you don't have to keep going in and out of the motor, it will save you money in the long run. Just my opinion though.
