What does this do? How do you do it and how do you know how much to cut back. I have read it is fairly cheap, about $50 or so. I also have no clue why you would do it or what? THanks.

Thanks for the info raptor. So basically it makes it last/work longer/better. So how much do you cut them back or how do you know how much to cut them back? Also, as far as the cryo thing goes, Is everyone sure this is good. I remember they were discussing this about cryo treating gun barrels and at first it was the cool good thing to do then after a little while everyone was saying it was not worth the money at all for some reason.

Like airraptor said.................

They only back cut the gear dogs, around 10 to 11 degrees(stock is somewhere around 3 to 5 degrees)they some times cut the slots a little longer(race cut),making shifting easier(although it will make more a clunk sound when shifted)The cost is higher then $50 bucks though,MRE did my backcutting for about $200,then $80 to freeze them by KPchryo

Cryo science "cryoed" my gears - great service and only $40......I'll never really know if it was effective unless they come apart. But, even then maybe they'd have failed sooner without treatment...

True that. I guess for $40 it can't hurt.

mrmonk- I had my first set back cut and then 6 months later i busted the dogs off second. The problem arose from the stiffer springs that a major ATV shop in CA sent me. They bound up and....... it was not pretty.

So 14mins, what do you reccomend as far as cutting vs. not cutting? Do you say yes to the cutting or no? Let me know.
