I understand. I dont get why small bikes seem to run better in dirt and the big motors seem better in sand. I have yet to run sand but it must make a difference since the other times u listed are about the same time difference than the times run hhere with similar setups. Did that make since?

 

Big motors generally make more torque and that's what you need to pull against the heavy load that sand has.

 

Hey guys, I just got the engine put together and my frame and swing arm powdercoated, I will try to get some pictures up, it will be a while before I get it running though, really really busy. I will try to keep you updated.
By the way, if you are in Michigan and want some powdercoating done, I would check at Gladwin Metal Processing in Gladwin, MI. They did my whole frame, swing arm axle carrier and rear shock linkage for $125, that included sandblasting, baking and clear coat, not a bad price and it looks great.

 

i no this post is really old but i no a guy with a 496 cheetah with a 4 mil crank 75m pistons 39m carbs shearer bb pipes 21cc domes on pump gas made 106hp i kinda cant see a 500 only making 65hp
