I am in the market for a new quad and I was wondering a few things. 1. why would you buy a blaster over a worrior??
2. will a blaster beat a worrior in a drag race
3. are blasters really good trail quads??
4. should I go for something not yamaha??

if you like quick, small, and a good deal cheap quad,go for the blaster.if you like four stroke quads go with the 400ex,not the warrior.i'd say a blaster and warrior would be close in a drag, but with an fmf pipe, the blaster would easily win.

I have an 88 Warrior that can overall spank a Blaster, especially on top speed. Being a 2 stroke, the Blaster can definately hang, but is by no means a more powerful bike. The only mods I have is a K&N filter and a DG pipe. If you look around you might be able to find a good used Warrior for a decent deal. I got this one for $1400. I'm sure you can find a Blaster cheaper, but from what I've heard maintenance on a 2 stroke is a real pain in the rump.

not traying to be a smarta$$ but but the only thing i`ve done on my blaster is change the oil regularly but mine is only 6 monthes old
but i know a guy who has a 230 quadsport i forget what year the only thing he has done is change the piston and rings when need which you have to do on a two stroke more often than a four but it is cheaper and quicker from what i hear
just dont get a 240 kit and you should be fine in reliability
