Default Flatslide?

I looked on a parts finder and it didn't show a butterfly. Is it connected to the throttle with a linkage, how does it open?
You have a spare RD 350 engine? Are you wanting to sell it?

The butterfly dosent show in the diagram but its there. Yamaha claims it helps throttle response or some bs. What gave me the idea of removing it was I heard that you can remove the choke in the 400exs carb for added airflow. The thing is in the same location and does nothing but block airflow just like the choke in a 400ex. The spare RD engine though is goin either into my warrior if my engine ever blows up or into the next cheap frame I come across. I wanna make a dragster with it.

BTW, I dont hate raptors, I just get tired of hearing about them constantly.

As far as your post going to the bottom, bump it back up. As far as the raptor being slow, that is one of the most uneducated things I Have heard. Maybe compared to your street bike it slow, but a raptor compared to a warrior, come on man, give me a break. I've had street bikes and fast cars and all of that, but we weren't talking about those. We were talking about Quads. And as far as stock quads go, the raptor is fast.

so 34hp out of a high tech 660cc high revving lots o valves motor dosent strike you as bad? Ill guess ill go ahead and leave it alone, 18 hp out of a 350 is on about the same scale. Neither of which are very good for their displacment and rev capabilities.

whoa whoa guys we we're making comparisons not bashing anything (well maybe) but still he's just venting gotta release that anger (thanks Jay). I personally like my Warrior better than a Raptor. Raptors handle better sure but are top heavy. Warriors been around a long time that means something people like them and I personally dont think my Warrior is slow.

Is 34hp great, hell no, not at all, but when you open up the throttle, it moves. But everyone knows that motor is choked intentionally. Look at the compression ratio, its like 9.2:1 Come on, that isn't a normal quad CR, that is a turbo quad CR. There is the 1st factor. 2nd factor, the motor doesn't breath well at all in stock form. With an exhaust and airbox mod, that thing rips. It is choked from the factory, but it is a hell of a quad. If it wasn't so many people wouldn't have them. Try one out man, try a piped and airbox modded one. You'll like it if you do. As far as the warrior goes, they need to redo it plain and simple. IT works but it could be better. The design is old, and it needs and update. Hopefully it will get one soon. I like the looks of it and the tranny

If this butterfly is spring loaded it's to help with throttle response, to keep the engine from gulping more air than it's ready for.
