Default Good aftermarket carb boots...

Who makes a good one. I know the Raptor is notorious for carb boots coming off. Alba has a set but 100 bucks. I think that is a little high.. I know I saw some for less...but I can't recall where. Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance.

As long as you "fix it faster", it's all good:-)

es, UPP makes em and they are trick. i'm the proud owner of red. However...these are not the boots that blow. when my carbs blew the boots is the boot between the airbox and the carb. on the end that connects to the carb. and they don't make em...no-0ne does that i've been able to find.

i will say, after i properly jetted my Rap i never had the problem again. thats was 2 1/2 years ago.

what i did do (just incase) was take the spacers in the boot clamp. and grind it down a hair. and i do mean a hair. to much and you risk splitting the boot or cutting into it. and maKe sure the surfaces were completly dry (i cleaned with alchohol). and re tighten as snug as you can get it.

let me know if you find those boots

kuz28- i respectfully disagree about which carb boots are prone to coming off under a backfire or similar condition and it is the boots from the head to the carbs that do this most often.i am sure that yours came off as you said but i wanted to clarify this just in case someone wanted the upp boots to solve their problem.i believe that entomber is referring to the boots that i am talking about but i may be wrong.entomber if you do get the upp boots you will find that they are very much worth the money.

Entomber, they come off for a reason. Give me a call and I will try to explain what I did to cure it.
