YFZ vs. 450r... the real deal
I know everyone is speculating which quad is going to be better, but when it comes down to it:
1.)No one races stock anyways and you can make either of these quads as good as you want them to be.
2.)Riding and racing depends way more on rider skill, then on stock power and handling of the quad.
3.)the 450r isnt even out yet!!!
Both quads are gonna win races, both quads are going to beat each other in drag races because no one has a stack quad for more than a couple of months so who really cares which stock quad has slightly more top end or acceleration, because when it comes down to it, the two quads are gonna be so close that what exhaust or jet your running could determine whose faster, and as close as these quads are stock, the faster rider is always going to win.

I think that the yamaha will be better, because the electric start, and more travel, plus tha carb, and the comp ratio. The Honda doesn't have as much travel, but the suspension could operate better. The motors are going to be in the same area, the Honda is lighter, with the unicam, and without the separate oil tank. I know the yamaha looks better, and has a more appealing color scheme. I'm gonna sell one 250ex, and the Bomb. And then I'm either going to buy two Yami's, or two Honda's, I'm gonna see which one is better after my next two rides, and have two new bikes by next year. I'll just have to see.

Yea, stockvsstock is stuipid, But what about the people who don't want to buy 1000$ shocks or 1000$ swingarms. Some people want to keep it stock. So sometimes its nessisary to see which one handles better or has better pick up or better top end. Atkins has a good point. But some want a good bike without investing in a whole lot of aftermarket

calling what somebody does for fun "absurd" is as narrow minded and shallow as one person could get. Who are you to judge other people and what they do with their time and money?
Ill answer that for you, YOU'RE NOBODY.
on a better note. I think both bikes will have great potential. Ive seen a few honda's with the crf based motors walk all over every other 4-stroke out there. Granted it was a motorcycle based motor. But both bikes weigh the same, i think a lot of it is going to come down to suspenion and whether or not the pro-link will handle the abuse that it is going to be put through. Ive seen a picture of the 450 with some nice elka shocks on it that make it look pretty trick. I know Wayne at PEP will be wholeheartedly trying to make both of these bikes perform to their peak.
