i finaly got my blaster running right and then i go do a burnout. not good, i pulled a damn good one but i think i blew somthing major. i shut it off and it was running fine but when i went to start it agian the kick start wouldent move so i put the back end up on a block and tried to move the tires while it was in gear and nothing moved. i need to know weahter i blew my piston or my tranny

Either broke a rod, broke your piston, or melted the rings to the cylinder.... either way its seized up.... take off the head and find out for yourself, or take it to the shop. Same thing happened to my blaster about 6 months after i had it.... damn stock piston cracked in two.

On a simpler note... are u sure you're in neutral when you're starting it?... maybe a VERY simple solution to the problem... small stuff like that happens all the time

Doesn't matter, I think you might be jetted a little lean b/c it blew when you were wide open right? Or you held the burnout to long long duration of high rpm's on an air cooled engine w/ no air flow= cooked rings or broke rod (I've seen this happen many of times).

lets see... hmmm. That smoke could be from... maybe gear oil getting on top of the piston from some melted/cracked rings? Did you say it was coming from the motor itself or the pipe? What color was the smoke?

Man, that smoke might mean its sumthin really bad. I would DEFINATELY advise taking a look inside, thats the only way you will know for sure. Im not an expert on 2-strokes, i know the basics, but maybe a more proficient 2-stroker can help more than me. All i can say is take a look, man
