Default Sur-Trak or Razrs???

Somehow I dont see them having 2 different manufacturing runs for the same tire and tread pattern. Weight wise you experienced a difference in manufacturing tolerances, one item off the line is not necessarily going to be 100% the same as all the rest. As for one puncturing and the other not, that just has to do with the chance of hitting the right rock at the right angle with the right speed and force. It has nothing to do with any "difference" in the two tires. They are the same thing.

Nothing you say is going to change the fact that we had two different sets of tires... The maxxis tire was more pliable as well, and I know this for a fact because we mount our tires by hand. About the manufacturing tolerances... I certainly hope a company producing tires, somthing in which go on a vehicle that will travel generally above 50 mph, is going to have tighter tolerances than one tire being 21 1/2 inches tall and weighing 5 ounces less than another tire that is 22 inches dead-money. I dont feel like arguing with you anymore on this topic as you feel they dont make a tire, and I "feel" they do. Lets end the pissing contest and stop jacking the thread.

Looks like you have a lot of good information here to judge your tire purchase. I would think about your terrain you ride MOST of the time, and pick the tire that matches that. If you dont ride much in snow/sand/mud dont get the beefier tires, if you do, then the thicker treaded tires would be a plus.

between both i would get the razrs. the tread life is amazing and you hardly hear complaints for the amount of ppl that use them.

Hey Yam4Life660R. I put 22" Razr II's on my 660 and never looked back they are awesome. They are very predictable in high speed cornering and at low speed hill climbs and the like they hook up like nothing else. Most of my riding is in very remote areas with other guys mostly on 4x4 Polaris, I have no problems going where they go in 4wd. The only thing that I have issues with is deep mud where the swing arm bottoms out and stops the traction. They get through because of more clerance

unless you ride on real rough trails, or ride in snow and mud then the razr's would be a better choice. Sur Traks are great tires, and i'm getting a set of them when my shredders wear out since I do a lot of trail riding, so what's best for you depends on the kind of riding you do.
