Default Rebuild 01 warrior

I am having trouble finding information about rebuilding my 2001 Warrior. My reason for rebuilding is that it has some hours on it and it uses an ungodly amount of oil and leaves a gigantic cloud of bluish grey smoke behind. I really do smoke people when I race them Anyways, I think it may be the piston rings. I intend on replacing what is minimal, maybe the rings and a couple gaskets. Another fear is that the valve guide seals are leaking, but I don't know how to tell whether its that or the rings. Did I mention it uses a lot of oil... I rode for maybe 1 hour and used a quart of oil or more. I noticed today that the situation is degrading, the smoke is getting thicker and oil lower. I am also noticing a loss in acceleration and especially the engine cuts and is erratic at full throttle/highest gear. I appreciate any help.

Get a compression tester and check the compression. That will tell you if it is the rings or the valve guides.
