Default Help Breaking In My 450

I just got the YFZ 450 home last night, and I just now took it out for a quick spin. This is my first new quad, so I'm unsure what to expect.

it makes a clanking sound of sorts. The wife says it sounds like chain slap, but I checked the tension and it seems to be properly tightened.

When new motors are breaking in, should strange noises be heard? Perhaps its precombustion! The tank came half full from the dealership, and I'm assuming that they're smart enough to put high octane in it.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks.

First you need to do heat cycles before you do anything above 1/2 throlltlle or not even. Follow the manual and you know your riding safe with 15 hours on it ( 6 tankfuls) Its really easy to break in and the suspension gets alot better
