Default jetting help!

I have a O1 Yamaha blaster with an FMF fatty pipe it has been on for 3 months and I havent re-jetted yet...Am I killing my machine?![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Default jetting help!

Check you plug color after a hard run through the gears then shut the engine off and see what color the plug is. If it is white then yes you are killing the life of your engine. It should be a tan color.

Actually I foulded 1 the other day and it was sortta black and a tanish...I put a new 1 on Ill have to check it tomorrow morning.

HHHMMMM Sorta black and tanish, according to what you wrote you my be a little rich. Do you idle around alot?

Well the Blaster has a 28mm after market carb, FMF pipe, Carbon Fiber reeds, Polish and Ported jug by me, and a 4 degree advance key from Vito's. It runs damn good for a Blater, it is a little to much for my son.

Well ya I do when I warm it up I will let it sit idle for 2 or 3 minutes, should I do that or just warm it up by driving slow for a little bit?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Yes it is a good idea to let it warm up. If you jump on and ride real hard a cold freeze of the piston and liner could happen. Always let it warm up.

ok Thanks...What do u think is better to run lean or rich? Lean u would have to buy a new moter and rich a spark plug, I am thinking rich. What would you say?

01 blaster FMF Fatty gold series, pro hand grips, pro gasket kit, Fast trekkers rear
