Will selling price of used Banshees start dropping like a rock?

no way will the price drop. for two reasons.
as in marketing any new model, the new yamaha will be priced higher than other comparable models -- including the banshee -- so that yamaha can gauge what the market will bear for the vehicle (and, of course, make a little money). banshees will still be a comparatively cheap thrill ride.
and secondly, the banshee is a two-stroke. a dying breed. and people like two-strokes. alot. the 250R didn't drop in price when the 400EX was released. two different types of machine, for two different types of rider.
of course, since i own a banshee, i may just be paranoid...

Let's think about this.....here comes Yamaha with a hot new quad that will carry an equally hot price tag. Now, think about how many people are going to buy a quad and do not have 7 grand to plunk down on a quad. What will they buy...
