I'm sure there are faster.....but the fastest that I have ridden was an '03 R1.......all I can is DAYUM!!!

makes me want to sale the raptor....LoL
if I had a good (large) life insurance policy.....I think I would get the bike......LoL

 

I thought the Suzuki Hyabusa (<-sp?) was the fastest production street bike made??? I read some stuff on it and they said it can break any speed limit in the US firmly planted in 2nd gear and its top speed was just over 200mph.

 

Treeshot The Busa has the highest top speed but it doesnt accelerate the quickest. It would loose to an R1 or Gixxer1000 in a shorter race but nothing would touch it in a long race.

 

Well put Stoppie. There are few bikes out there that can compete with the R1 for acceleration and low end power.

R1 is the fastest all around stock (not top speed) however I would much rather have a Ducati or Aprilla. Beleive it or not their lower end models can be had new for the same price as a new R1. Even though Ducatis are not the fastest they sure as heck sound the best and look the best IMO [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] plus your are riding a bike with a soul to each his own I know I sound stupid just my opinion.

 

Oh yea isn't the 04 R1 like 180hp? Thats insane!

 

yeah,i just checked their site,the new R-1 have an impressive 180 hp with
EFI,380 lbs,new improved engine with 53mm stroke that rev to 12500 rpm,
that is sick!!!
