ignorant eh? Aluminum frame, 5 ti valves, 11:1 comp, 350 lbs, FCR carb, and not to mention the DOHC!! ITS WAYYYYY MORE TECHNOLOGICLY ADVANCED THAN THE FREAKIN 450!! LOL!! I think your the ignorant one! I just stated facts! Deal with the facts man! Honda didn't live up to the Yamaha quality! But I'm not saying the quad is gonna be a horrible quad I'm just stating the fact that the YFZ has wayy more technology behind it! Which I think will keep it on top of the market! Honda didn't have anything revolutionary in the 450 cept maybe the unicam design but it sounds like a marketing ploy cause they couldnt use a DOHC in the engine. I don't even own a YFZ I own a freakin Rappy I have no reason to side with the YFZ all I know is that technically it's better.

aluminum frame??? LOL! good one man! and there you go with the Ti valves again, dude its nothing special. The 450r also weighs 350lbs, FCR? who cares your gonna need to switch it out for a bigger better one once you start agressive mx. The 450r may only have one cam but it functions as a DOHC which IMO is better, come aftermarket cams it will be cheaper. Face it man Yamaha finally came out with something competitive and Honda shows them up with the 450r a short while after (not like yammis 17 year period.) I dont see any ''revolutionary designs'' in either of these quads, theyre just dirtbike motors in quad frames. Revolutionary would be a rotary engine or in yamahas case actually be reliable!

It's revolutionary cause it's...lets see....NEVER BEEN SEEN OR DONE BEFORE!!!! Alum frame is a great idea and very new, the only other quad to have it was Cannondale but they dont matter anymore, yet Honda still couldn't make there's better! Rocker arms in a new engine?? Talk about loosing HP! Hmm why do all new engines have OHC's? OH YA!! TO DO AWAY WITH ROCKER ARMS AND PUSHRODS! Now why you ask would they want to do that? hmm...to save weight and add performance! DUH! Aluminum frames, 5 Ti valves, and the FCR carb are all very high tech and it's never been seen before! And it's still not seen with the compitition! Honda should of at least matched the specs!
Go back to the Honda forums and brag to 400ex owners cause to the them 450 is high tech not in the Yahama forum!

dude the yfz does not NOT have an aluminum frame, and yes it has been done before and even better, ever heard of Cannondale? Only production quad to have an aluminum frame and EFI now thats revolutionary. Not all new engines have OHC's, not even on cars ie: corvette. Now lets see why would chevy put a pushrod engine into a high performance car? cause it works maybe? man if the trx is better i would love to see the look on your face when the ''unrevolutionary'' 450r beats ur precious ''revolutionary'' yfz.

haha i love this most of the people in this forum just b!tch and bicker. There both very nice atvs. who rides them stock anyways. and all these things about the kids im a kid and i read it i think its just as stupid as all the adults do. I cant wait to see what comes out on top. no one knows besides the pros about how good the new 450's running. theres good and bad things about each atv. But the thing i posted about was how your stero Typing kids that there just dumb and want to here everyone fight about witch atv is better.

well i am entitled to my opinion, and im not gonna completely bash the trx, he!!, id take one if you gave it to me, but if i was given the choice between that and a YFZ, id take the Yam. i just think the yam has a better look and i dont really like honda, and honda could have come out with their bike a while ago, they just waited to let yamaha, the ones with the ba!!$ come out with their bike first to see what the competition was. also, a lot of the people i know that ride hondas are really cocky and never look at another bike because its not a honda. i know thats kind of stereotyping, but i can do that, cant i?

I have to add though, that if i could have any bike in the world, it would in fact be an 86'-89' honda 250R. but i think that since back then when hondas motto "performance first" actually meant something to them, they have gone downhill in the true performance of their bikes. there are a lot of nice hondas, but they dont go to the same extremes in performance, honda likes their bikes to be good all around bikes and rarely focuses on any one field. with the exception of a few, such as the 250R of course, and their new 450R, which is a good bike, i just personally think that the yam 450 is a better bike and is better suited to the true demands of the mx world.
