LOL thanks! I stated earlier that it was my bad on the alum. frame as I misread the stats and it says that it has alot of alum on the bike IE: swingarm, a-arms, and etc. Also I didn't say that ALL Honda owners are bad just most. But ya...I got a good laugh out of your post lol thanks! Just wanted to clear that up...as long as you don't think your 400ex is the fastest bike on earth like most owners then your prolly not that bad. ttyl man.

let me direct this to the Honda owners/fans.
After our rather lengthy wait for a "new" Honda sport quad...are you happy with what Honda has brought to the table.
I just think peoples expectations were higher. Now, this isn't anything new...if i remember correctly, the 400EX was'nt actually greeted with open arms. the 250r are big shoes to fill...no doubt. But the diffrence this time around...is a market saturated in new sport quads.
everyone seems completey satisfied with Yamaha meeting even exceeding their expectation level.
do you think Honda did as adequate a job. You would'nt want FCR carbs? your happy with the linkage? Answer honestly please. there will always be aftermarket co. the compliment Honda's designs. but stock for stock...was it worth the wait...or are you settling out of sheer frustration for a new Honda product.
at first i was duped...i was like awesome quad...after pondering a little longer i started to put things into perspective. where'd all the R&D go? i will feel even less excited by the time it gets released.
i'm interested in crackedheads response being a 250r owner and all.

From the Cannondale employees I've talked to, etc .... they had *****. 2 Huge ones. Maybe even the anomoly of 3. They waked up the sport quad world and everyone should respect them for that. 2 more years of money and nothing would have touched them but built 2 strokes, if that. They had major nuts and that is one reason I have one. What they did was phenomenal. Mad props to Cannondale for attempting what no big company would. From the bottom up, the best they could put together.

Actually I didnt really expect anything out of the 450r. I figured Honda is just gonna put a crf motor in an R frame and I was close enough. I didnt think Honda would actually make a better quad than the 250r simply cause the only to do that would be to mass produce a fuel-injected 310pv in the original R frame imo. Im pretty saticfied with what the 450r is though, I like the 400ex it handles like a dream just needs more power and thats what the 450r is gonna be (hopefully) excellent handling coupled with a big set of *****. The linkage makes a little difference but not enough to convince me to not wanna get the 450r. I rode my friends 310R with a no link suspension and it felt just like my suspension (with the exception of the Elka shocks.) Ill wait and see how the 450r performs with the cv carb before I comment on that.
