Default Pro Circuit Quiet Core.....

I'm looking for information on the Pro Circuit Quiet Core insert for T-4. Any links to websites..prices...ordering information will be greatly appreciated. If anyone already has one installed, does it cut much power??? My Rappy is jetted to the T-4. Will I have to rejet after installing insert??? TIA....

Sorry I missed this post when it was new. If you still need the info, here it is.
The T-4 quiet core is nothing more than a T4 spark arrester with a fender washer welded over the end. Running it will make your raptor sound like a model airplane. You WILL have to rejet. You will get much worse performance than the stock muffler. If you insist on doing it, I have one that I would be happy to trade for any small part of use to me, jets, grips, etc.

Hey..I forgot about posting this question..HEHEHE. Thanx for the reply...but after looking around, I'm gonna give the FMF Q series a try. Guys I've talked to said it keeps good power without the noise. Wish me luck...I'll do anything to keep from re-jetting my Rappy....

RACERROB- I have both the pro circuit t-4 and the fmf q and in spite of what most will tell you the q is a much better performer in every aspect with the exception of the top 10 or 15 percent of the rpm range. The q is great for the mid range power that most of us use for the greatest percentage of time.I run the same jetting for the t-4 and the q with very good results( 175-180 mikuni mains). As far as the quiet core for the t-4 goes i can tell you that i bought one and i would have to agree with TRAPLAND that it sounds terrible and it hurts performance at all levels. If you go with the q-muffler let us know what you think i am curious what youre opinion of it will be.

Hey dune....thanx for the great info. Its great news to know the jetting is close to same for both silencers. I will be getting my Q sometime before next race season(Jan. 11th, I think). I will let everyone know how I like it. I don't use much top end in the District races...mainly middle range with some bottom and some top. Thanx again for the info.
