this is what i meant to post.....
my buddy always told me, if you are gonna jump big make sure you either have your boots on, or you put nerf bars on.....I can testify that he wasnt bs'ing.
For those of you without nerf bars and boots that are jumping big, or thinking of doing so, take it from me and two bloody, fat and liquid filled shins.

 

I don't even ride without the boots basset. And now that I have the nerfs I'd have to say I won't ride w/o them either. Both, two of the best investments you can make! Aside from a helmet of course.(I'm amazed at how many people I see riding around without them.) All you can really do is shake your head. If you tell them to wear it they just tell ya to buzz off(and thats G-rated. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] ). O well I would say your brain your life, but the way that "the man" is busting down on OHV's it really is everyone's buisness. But ......what can ya really do?

 

Soon, the manufacturers will have nerfs on all quads. Watch the muscle of the CPSC work magic again. That meeting in June in Morgantown, WV isn't over yet. I am sure the manufacturers will be making some...voluntary...changes.

When I went to buy my boots, the guy asked me why I needed a pair and I told him for ankle and foot protection, and he laughed at me. When my brother found out he laughed at me, but two weeks ago when my friend was riding his Raptor and his foot came off the peg and went under the rear tire. It shattered his ankle and broke his fibula. I had the same thing happen a few months ago but I was wearing boots and walk away with a sore ankle but they saved me from a doctor bill unlike my friend $8500 hospital bill. So I don't think any body will laugh now.
