will i need to bore?

Theres no reason to need to overbore if all your doing is upping the compression ratio. Just make certain that your getting the "stock" bore piston size. They offer it in several displacements. Just check and make sure your getting the stock bore, and you should have no problems. The only time you need to overbore is if you have cylinder wall damage.

Just make sure you check the clearences before installing, sometimes they might fit to tight causing it to cease up or the piston sometimes get's hott and expands causing the piston to get damaged or the Rod to weaken because it's a tight fit..
I bored it out to a 686 and i feel more comfortable,i just seen a few issues on rods going and 2 of the bike were running stock bore..

It doesn't cost that much to get it bored and honed, jsut buy a 100.5mm piston and take it to the shop and have them bore the sleeve to 100.5. The shop i went too they had me bring my piston in as well to get the exact measuremeant. with 100.5 you wont add too many cc's but you will have pleanty of sleeve leftover if you need it later.
