Buying a New Raptor.. how much O.T.D.

That's good advice. I've read quite a few reviews and posts that suggest that the DS 650 is a better quad for larger riders. I'm not so tall but a little on the wide side 5'11, 260 lbs. Do you know approximately how much they're going for right now, OTD? Alba, here in San Diego advertises the Baja model for $7399 + tax, lic. etc. etc. A little too rich for me. Know any reasonable dealers in Southern California? Thanks for the information.

Thanks DuneMe, Good advice.
Bert's in Covina, CA gives out the door internet prices through there websiteand they cary those ds650

They couldn't quote me on a Raptor cause they sold out.
I'm going with the yamaha to take advantage of that 3.9% finance deal. Don't know if Bombadier offers that.
Thanks guys..

3.9 on the DS until 2005 right now also.
Last time I was talking to the dealer it sounded like their price wasn't that far off the price of a Z400.
I am not in the market for a new quad right now so, others will have to tell you what to expect for prices.

Alba quoted me some pricing too, but then they wanted to tack on a bunch extra to "set up" the bike, claiming that they need to make money on putting their parts on... They advertise the machine with their parts for the list price, but then tack on the "prep" Fees. That asort of torqued me off a little.... and their bikes were too loud anyway.
I ended up paying 7100 OTD for an '03 Raptor in the Bay Area. And I was damn glad to find it too.
Here in California an Oregon and Nevada are at the mercy of a market fat in buyers and thin on machines.... so most will pay thru the nose..... LA Yamaha was quoting me some really low numbers in May, but when I produced the cash they couldn't produce a machine, so I ended up buying in the Bay Area, but I bet I called or had relatives shop in Nevada and Oregon too, and all the prices were a lot higher than say the midwest, or the north east.

Yeah, I haven't approached Alba for an OTD quote yet. They list their souped up Raptor at a base price of $6499 but all the San Diego dealers hide the extra cost in the "freight and setup". At least LA Yamaha has been straight forward and quoted me a reasonable OTD price of $6499. I hope they can produce a bike for me when I pull the trigger. Thanks for the info.

Yeah "SUmmer" at ALBA was quoting me like 8500 OTD door for one of thier "ALBA" units and like 11500 for one with shocks and suspension.........
We laughed all the way to Long Beach that first day, and laughed half way back to the Bay Area the next......
I didn't have the heart to laugh in her face the few times she called me back to follow up, then one day I just told her "yep, I guess I'm just not ready to 'step up' to the ALBA Raptor yet".....

I found one! $6499 O.T.D and in red and white. And they matched LA Yamaha's price. I just left my deposit.. I can't wait to pick it up! I called every Yamaha dealer in the yahoo yellow pages within 150 miles and they were the only ones that had red and were willing to give it to me at that price out the door. I'm going to have to drive 2 hours but it's worth it for me.. Amazing how these things are selling like mad at this time of year.
