Buying a New Raptor.. how much O.T.D.
Hi Everyone,
I've been reading this board for a while now and I just signed up today. I'm looking to buy a Raptor and wondering what everyone here is paying "out the door". I'm in southern california and will be buying this week. This will be my first quad. I picked the raptor because of my size. I'm 6'1" and 240 pounds and need something that can move me around fast enough to keep up with the guys.. Thanks in advance..

I got mine for $5498 out the door, then had to pay for shipping, and was still cheaper then I would get around my area. If you can, find the largest dealer you can in your area; they are usually the ones that give you lowered prices and throw in free stuff. They might even give you 20% or 30% off anything else you buy from there.

I'm also looking for a new Raptor in So. Cal. and am willing to drive a little while to find a good deal. The dealers in the San Diego area are giving me the run around on extra charges like freight and setup. Please post here if you find a reasonable dealer and a good O.T.D. price. Thanks.

Expect CA prices to be a bit higher. The dealers know that the CA Raptor is unique (only the new CA Raptor's can get a California Green Sticker.)
Before you buy, go take a look at the DS650. Sit on it and see how you like it. For your height and weight I think you will find it to be a more comfortable quad for you. The newer DS's have come down in price as well and you will need to work the dealers a little to get a good price for them as well (they are a 50 state quad - meaning if you buy one in Nevada and bring it to CA you can still get a green sticker.)
I'm 6'2" and wouldn't trade my DS for my Wife's Raptor (JMO)
I am not trying to flame the Raptor, just want you to get the best bike for YOU!
Good luck and have fun with whatever you get!
