100% impressed with my CR686. I will finally get to race my dad and uncle's two 686's for the first time. It will be very interesting. We will be playing with jetting and stuff to get them tuned in for 7500 feet this weekend. I'll definitely let everyone know when I get back how they compare.

I went from 31 HP stock on my 2003 raptor to 67HP in 4 hours with my craycraft 686 in front of more than 100 people. Out produced all raptors that were willing to dyno. Trinity 727's did 62hp and there 686's did 54 or less. (usually less lol ) It was a generous dyno for sure. On a dyno jet dyno 20hp is about right. It is enough to make you a beliver. My trinity 686 did a whopping 44hp with all trinity had to throw at it. LMAO

I just dont know if the Dyno compares to take off and speed? Only because I raced a DS720 with my Sparks mild setup and the DS was dyno'd at around 66 or 68 at FSWII and I beat it. We are both experienced riders and cannot believe I beat him. Compared to Dyno's and drag races, the one with the higher HP should come out on top right?
I dont get it...............

Proper setup on a slightly lower dynoed bike can outrun a higher dynoed bike not setup right. All the power in the world will do you no good if it is not getting to the ground. The correct gearing, tires, and keeping it on the ground can make all the difference; a big difference! Slim

I've got the 12:1 Craycraft-spec JE, Craycraft porting/coatings, and Stage 2 Hotcam on the stock rod. I've built car engines before so assembly experience factors into reliability somewhere but the parts and instructions I got from Craycraft were top shelf. My Raptor is every bit as reliable as my buddies' 2002/2003 bolt-on machines. As far as your question on performance with the Craycraft 686 kit, it is an even bigger change than piped with no airbox lid. No comparison to stock at all, they are not in the same ballpark. Although I haven't had it on a dyno, if my build isn't at least 20 hp over stock, I'll eat my hat.
