Default Drilled airbox on Blaster

When I picked my blaster up the top of the airbox has been driled by the previous owner (the sectionheld in by 4-screws which sits ontop of the airfilter and below the seat) will replacing it with a new section make much of a differance as its a pain having to cover it up nefore washing the quad each time. I take it, the previous owner has done this to help increase the airflow into the filter but given where its situated I cant see it having that much effect on it?

You may want to check into your jetting before you put a different lid on. If the previous owner richened it up after drilling holes, you will be too rich if you put a lid with no holes on.
