dont get the 450 they are telling you to get the 450 cuase they are yamaha loyalists. Im going to tell you to get the prairie cuase its the same price, and the 450 will never come close to the performance of the p650. I was in the same position as you i could have gotten a grizz 600 for 6000, 400 for 6100 then the p650 for 6700. I chose the prairie and couln't be happier after riding the other two.

450 Kodiak or 450 YFZ???
If its the Kodiak your talking about get the Prairie if its the YFZ your talking about then I need to ask why are you considering to get two completely difference wheelers (one a 4x4 the other a sport wheeler)?
I say get the Prairie not because the 450 Kodiak isn't a good wheeler because its is (I have one) but if your looking for a 4x4 wheeler that will go fast go with the Prairie but get the new 700.

I'd base your decision on what type of riding you want to do. These are completely different types of machines and spending that much you want to be sure and make the right decision. You might want to consider something in the middle like a raptor or V Force. I have a 650 and like it, but after riding my Banshee or V force it feels like a tank. I love the 650 for putting around in the woods, you don't need a trail with that thing. Be careful with the big tires, they're hard on the drivetrain. I put 26" ITP 589 M/S on mine and it's unstoppable, don't hardly ever use 4x4 anymore because they get so much traction. I would have to say that the v force is my favorite quad and I've owned lots of quad. Good Luck!
