Default Widening or exhaust?

Which would you choose for the raptor? I'm saving up the money and I'm toying with either widening the ride, or getting an aftermarket exhaust. Which do you guys think is more important?

Depends on what you really want to get out of your money performance or handling. Widening is going to cost a lot more than just putting an exhaust on if you plan on doing front and rear at once. I just bought my A-Arms and plan to do the rear later sometime soon. Exhaust is definatly the way to go if you want more power.

Good luck

E Z wheel spacers, see ATV mags will make a big difference. $90 for rears then you'll still have bucks for exaust. I got them for my Raptor and loved them.

Arent the wheels offset? just flip em. The front ones you have to plug the hole and put a new air thingy. Or flip the rears and buy spacers for the front.

I see you have MX fronts and Tamer rears, so i guess ur doin at least SOME motocross. Do what i did and get the rear axle and do whatever you can to widen the front [depends on how much you want to spend] But the only way the extra power from the pipe is going to help you is if you can keep all your wheels on the ground.

Default Widening or exhaust?

My latest mind set was to get a set of 18" rears to lower the center of gravity some and be able to light up the tires around corners better. I like the idea of an exhaust, but its more important to me to make this thing fun to corner. I'm not a serious racer nor do I ever plan to be so my theory of it is to make it Handle how I want and worry about power later. I thought the 18" rear would help bring it closer to the ground, and was toying around with the notion of flipping the front rims. Thoughts on the above?

You can get a good slip-on exhaust for $250. You don't need the header unless you are going to do more engine mods, then you could always buy the header later. Wheel spacers work great til you can afford to buy a-arms and an axle. Just remember, when it comes time to buy the extended a-arms, you also have to replace your stock shocks or the warenty won't be any good.
Let the spending begin.
