I BEAT A 300 EX EARLIER THIS SUMMER BY QUITE A BIT....IT WAS A SPANKING. GRANTED IT WASNT STOCK FOR STOCK THOUGH. HE HAD A 300EX WITH A 14 TOOTH, FMF PIPE, AND K &N FILTER, AND A JET KIT. I HAD A 15 TOOTH SPROCKET, COBRA PIPE, BARNETT RACING CLUTCH, AND A JET KIT IN MINE. I WALKED ON HIM, 1ST AND SECOND WERE CLOSE TO EQUAL THEN I JUST BORED ON HIM. PULLED AWAY, I COULDNT EVEN SEE HIM IN THE DUST AT THE FINISH..(GRAVEL ROAD) WHICH PROLLY EQUALLED 3-4 QUAD LENGTHS. THIS WASNT STOCK FOR STOCK BUT I WOULD SAY PRETTY FAIRLY IN MODS.

 

this discusts me. i races a 300ex that was moddifies slightly and i had a warrior with a blown motor (was leakin oil) and i still beat it once i let the clutch out

It's only what 282cc? It's definatly gonna lose. I don't care if it comes close, the Warrior is still gonna win.
I'm pretty sure zipzap never asked "would a 300ex come close to a warrior?"

And I don't see how anyone can say a 300ex is a better MXer. If It has a better more plush suspension, sure, it will handle better. The Warriors always been known as a dog for handleing. But Too Me, MX isn't about the quad. MX is to me 20% Quad, 70% Rider, and 10% Concentration. If you are a good rider and have a good quad, that won't do anything if you arent concentrated. Just Because a 300ex has a nicer suspension, does not nessascerly mean it is a better MXer...Sure it will help, but Rider is the main reason.

and whoever said throw a turn in and it's hello Honda....get off what your taking...Your trying to tell me a 300ex can turn better? Are you serious man? Can Make a Turn better? Oh Man..It never ends.

And Depending a rider, a 300ex will not beat a Warrior up to 5th gear. That would take a very skilled rider on the 300 and a beginner on the Warrior....and I'm not going from what I hear, I'm going from experience.

 

for a 300ex to bet a warrior up to 5th gear, the guy on the warrior would have to be a) drunk b)stoned or c)starting out in 4th gear

 

Thats hilarious can beat the warrior up to 5th gear hahahahaha and i thought i heard everything the only way a 300EX can do that its if its modded to the last bolt and still wont win.

People should start to race the 300EX in reverse and see who wins lol.

 

basically what it boils down to is that people are defensive of their machines. "TJMAX"......you need some help, emotionally, spellingwise, and mentally. i could hardly stand to read your posts due to your horrible spelling and absolute lack of any common sense at all. where on earth have you heard of a stock 300ex beating a warrior...and at that smoking it........thats right, nowhere. i tried posting it a few posts up about my experience with beating a 300ex. i dont come on here to brag or post lies at all, check em if you dont believe me. i was not saying that i just beat a 300ex, i destroyed him. no questions asked, it wasnt even close enough to have a second go at it. and as far as saying your stock 33ex will go 60.......my @$$!!!!!! stock with a 13 tooth sprocket....yea right. my warrior was clocked at 68.7 mph after the pipe, filter, jet kit, barnett racing clutch, and 15 tooth sprocket on it. and to tell you the truth, i had still a little bit more i could have pushed it.....this is no lie, so dont tell me your 33 will go 60 stock cuz its a total crock of $hit!!!!

 

Do you think that if the Warrior had 5 gears rather than 6, it would allow the 300ex to have a better chance as the Warrior would have to have it's power spread through wider gears (so that 5th gear would be like 6th would be)?

 

Having a good MX quad makes you more confident hitting jumps, no lie. I was even hitting a 50 ft tabletop on my 300ex.

i raced a 300ex just last week.... at night on a paved road..... beat him both times.... he had a fmf pipe.. said he had cammed it and bored it with a high comp piston... and he had an aftermarket clucth.... i have also went down a tooth on the the front and up one on the back.... front is 12 or 13.. back is 41
