lowering kits for raptor?
#1
i just recieved a durablue lowering kit for the front and the back for my raptor as a gift for my birthday. i would like to lower it but i didnt think it would be a good idea to use lowering kits, especially since i race on a mx track and do a lot of jumping.
can anyone let me know if this is true or not? and also tell me what the side effects of using them might be.
i would definatly apprieciate any suggestions or opinions on this subject.
thanks for the help.

If you do decide to use the lowering kit for the front make you a brace to support the top shock mounts. I ran one for a while and I made a brace that attached to the mounts that extended from one shock mount to the other on the backside of the front mounts. It was pretty simple to make. The way the front durablue kit is made it puts a lot os stress on the mounts and I have seen a couple collaspe with the kit installed from jumping so the brace is a must ecspecially if jumping a lot. With the brace installed I never had any trouble with mine. Slim

You can't jump with a lowering kit....but you can climb a tree with them, and your handling will be exceptional. I would have just flipped the rear linkage instead of buying that adjustable strut from durablue.
Anytime your riding for fun....lower your rappy and you'll see a huge difference in handling....it will be 100% better.
