Hmmmm, I do not know how everyone elses' SHEE performed, but after 1 ride at the track I bent my front shock and the engine was very stopped up!! I was like, "this sux!!!!" But I also knew that I had not rode in quite a while, so one day my brother bought his CR 125 over and we dragged a few times, he blew the SHEE away by like 4 or 5 links----->we raced till we were topped out, and it seemed like when he hit 3 rd gear or so he just walked away like he had NOS or something......... Well a few months later he bought a 250 R (it was a bike that I had sold back in 92!!!! Anyway, supposedly it is not ported or anything, basically a stock bike with a Paul Turner pipe, a 36mm Kehein Carb, and a RAD valve, and a milled head----- he blew the CR 125 away by like 2-1/2 - 3 links!!! So I knew that my motor had to go get reworked at this point to even be somewhat comparable with his R!! I have not fully completed my installation of my motor or anything because I work ALOT!!! So I do what I can do when I can do it!! I plan to have this project complete by mid-Feb..... I plan to do whatever I have to do to have a faster MX bike than him! He is sending his extra motor off for either a 265 P/V or either a 310, although he says that he would never need a 310, and a 265 is as big as he wants to go!

I only know that my bone stock motor sucked big time, for instance, you could go into a sweeper and if you went into it just right, your motor would sign off right in the middle! Go in a lil faster and a gear higher, and it would not have enough power to break the back tires loose!! I was sooo pissed off!! I was like man, this is like a stock 200 X or something!! LOL, seriously it was way underpowered!! I hope that the 370 LR cures my power problems!! Now I must get my handling up to par--by the way, with my work schedule and so forth, I do not plan to even ride this thing until my chasis is right along with my motor!!

So the -1 swingarm helps out that much??!!

All I gotta say is you got a bad experience with a Banshee. Even a bone stock one (which is rare) will kill a 125. Definately wasn't running to its potential.

Man, I have known quite a few people to bend their front shocks on their SHEES!!! I wasn't even catching that much air when I bent mine!! The stock front shocks are junk!!! So you have a 370 LR as well?? How do you like it?? I am soooo ready to get mine rolling!! I am sure that it will definitely scream when it is finally put together!! When I looked at my stock head that CT sent me back with my motor, it was all pitted and stuff, like the top of my piston had melted to it or something!! But it was running when I sent it to them, and it was not seized up!! I often wonder if they perhaps made a mistake and sent me someone elses head, but it does not matter because it was the stock head and I will probably never use the thing again anyway!!

Alright DO NOT TOUCH your motor until you do these mods:

elka,axis, or TCS suspension

2+3/8 or 1'' a-arms (alba, ricky stator, jannsen, quicksand or wicked products)

-1 or -2'' swingarm (I would go -2 {you have almost 1 1/2'' of adjust either way})

Rear Elka piggy back

+4 RPM or LSR axle

Like I said.. the 370LR is not that great of a power increase from stock.. it just moves the powerband around and broadens it. Just make sure you run the right fuel w/ the righ compression of domes.

The stock banhee does seem to sign off right in the middle off the power band, but that just just in stock form, but mines still hualed. I just put on a set of CPI pipes and it now doesn't sign off at all and it rev's and pulls forever, but the negative side to that is it has shifted the powerband way up and so comes on much later, so I'am in the process of doing my own porting and polishing and will be shaving the head down which the higher compression will help the powerband come in alot earlier and the porting will go nicely with these high rev pipes, I'll keep you posted.
