Best/cheapest mods for BLASTER

Great, I will try that tonight. Also does anyone know anything about a vito Degree Key? What exactly is it?
I had also thought about a 240 Big Bore kit. Would it be worth all the trouble? My brother did all kinds of stuff to his (new carb etc) and now his runs like S**T. I really dont want to mess it up that bad.

The Vito's degree key is an offset crank/flywheel key that advances your flywheel 4 degrees, which advances the pickup coil spot, thusly ignition timing. It's a little half-moon shaped metal thing. They're like 25 bucks, and you need also a flywheel puller which they sell you for about 11$. Fairly easy to put on. You get noticeably better bottom and midrange, and I can't feel any loss of top-end. Put in in with care as one of mine sheared, don't know why but maybe I weakend it when I put the flywheel back on somehow. Overall a cheap power upgrade that can do well for you especially trail type riding.

Excellent, I may check into that. Right now my dad is seeing about having the head shaved some. That is only about $30 and my dad can take it off and put it back on. What do you think about shaving the head?

Before my Warrior, I had a Blaster that I hopped up. It was insanely fast for a Blaster. The secret lies within this link... http://www.macdizzy.com/1989hopup.htm. I did all the work myself, except for shaving the head and boring the cylinder. Follow Macdizzy's recipe and you will be VERY happy with the results. Doesn't cost that much either.

Shaving the head is cheap power too, because stock a Blaster is only 125 psi compression. Kick it up to 155-165 or so, will make a difference.

How do they shave the heads, in millemeters or what? Either way what would be a correct amount to shave off without having to run premium octaine gas and make it so the piston dosent go through it?

I have heard that if you shave the head on a blaster, after that you have to use racing gas because of the compression. Is this true and would high test not be good enough?? I had also considered using vitos degree key but have since heard that I wouldnt notice any diffrence. Does anybody know if this is true?
