Clutch Cover Removal
#1
I am going to upgrade my clutch this weekend to a GYTR clutch but I have a question about removing the clutch cover. How do you remove the bolt on the far left side of the clutch cover without removing the engine? Also, if the screw can be removed, can the cover be removed without any interference?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That little bolt is a SOB. You've got to use an open ended wrench from underneath to get it loose. Once it's loose, the cover will come off with it still in the cover. Install is backwards, the bolt must be in the cover before you try to put on the cover. There is not room to install/remove the bolt with the cover in place. The cover will come out and go back in with the engine in place but it takes a little while to get it past the frame. Hold your tongue to the left, it helps:-)

And tie strings to all your tools so when you throw them you won't lose them.
UBETRUN is right though, tongue just a little to the left.

I just did mine last week. yeah its a SOB plus remember to put the same one back in it not like me and have to PULL the **** back off. Now I can do one in 30 min or less.

Also, you will need to pull the clutch spring out of your stock plates. It looks like a large washer and it is the same diameter as the plates.
I put a little assembly lube (grease) on the gasket to get it to stay on while I was trying to get the cover back on.
Hope yours goes easier than mine did.
