Yamaha Holding out on us

The new Raptor is sweet to say the least.
But i think it is what they call it "their new sport quad" . I think they still have the full race 426 with an all aluminum frame hideing somewhere. I wouldent be at all suprised to see it next model year (2002) or sooner. Maby a new Banshee with full race setup, available with either 350 twin or 426. So what do ya all think ?????????????????????????????????????

You think im on crack. Look at the most popular class in racing the 660 is to big cc wise. Yamaha will build a 426 quad for that reason alone. Be realistic REVERSE on a racer???? They could probubly have saved 20 lbs by not having a reverse gear. No my fellow atvers yamaha built the Raptor for people that buy Warriors to upgrade to and to compete with the DS. The MacDaddy quad is still to come if you wonder about what it will be like look to canondale. OOOO and btw No offense taken

Theres no way Yamaha will release another new sport quad anytime soon because it will cut into the sells of the Raptor. Im sure they spent alot of money developing this quad and they are going to milk it for the next 10 years for everything it worth.

What do you mean when you say "Racer"? Cause all the real racers I've ever seen are hand built from the ground up and cost 20+K...The only person that has promised anything close to that is GasGas, adn where are they? If you want a real racer, you'll have to customize or build one I think...the manuf. will make what the people will buy, and I think they have done that in the Raptor...and 20lbs for revers? Are you sure....But we shall see if it is popular or not, then we'll know if yamaha was right or not!
