I don't mean to touch on an old subject or repeated post but why do some poeple say don't get a banshee unless you dune, cause if you don't dune or drag get a 4 stroke. I'm not trying to say that banshee's aren't good at dunes and drags, but i know plenty of people who own banshees who have never done any dunes or drags and still say the wouldn't own anything else. I know that's personal opinion, but are they really that bad to ride around eventhough you're not duning or dragging?

 

I've never ridden one but have read enough magazine articles since '87 to say that it is pretty accurate that Banshee's don't make good tight woods trail quads.

 

They are better in the dunes people say because they arn't new enough to be compaired and compete well against newer bikes so it seems like they handle in the softer more giving dunes cause it closly resembles newer suspension.

When the bikes came out and had no compitition except a few smaller 2 strokes the Warrior and the 300ex it seemed really good compaired to them so it was appriciated in all terrain but now that there is something better on harder trails it looks better in a differenct terrain.

They are also a better dune bike because of the snappy 2 stroke power band and the modding potential and cheapness of the twin cylinder engine is awesome for drags.

That was originally what people thought of as a normal bike being a snappy 2 stroke but it's moving towards "trail happy" bikes.
