Default Lowering my YFZ

I was reading about some aftermarket products to lower my quad, Does doing this really improve performance on trails, dunes?

Does it have negative effects on the longevity of the suspension?

Does it make the ride stiffer, Also am I more likely to hit the bottom of my bike with rocks on trails?

If so, are most quads on this forum lowered to improve ride etc..?

The parts seem reasonably cheap compared to other aftermarket parts for these bikes.

Info appreciated,

Vic

Well, the only lowering kits I know of are for Raptors because of them being so "tippy". On to your questions.

1. Not that I have heard from Raptor users ever.

2. It's gonna ride lower obviously but thats something your gonna have to sacrifice when lowering your quad more. Maybe you should invest in a good set of skid plates? I don't know if it makes the ride stiffer, but it might because I put a set of Works shocks from a Warrior/Banshee and it lowered it about 2 inches but made it much stiffer.

3. I don't know about this for YFZ, I haven't heard of anyone lowering them more yet. For the Raptors though I think it's around half and half probably more leaning the without side.

4. They are cheap cause all they really are is a piece of machined aluminum, really cheap to make.

Hope this helps you out!!

Put true ZPS shocks on your quad like PEP. It will lower the quad and you will not loose any suspension travel. It's expensive but you'll have the best suspension as well.
