Default Raptor Blinking Reverse light?

I just changed the oil in my 03 Raptor and when I restarted it after changing it the Reverse light began to blink after it warmed up, maybe 2-3 min. Any idea what a blinking R light would mean, I couldnt find anything in the manual about it. The bike was in Neutral. After 10-15 min I warmed it up again and it did not blink. Thanx

Also, I paid $15 for a Yamaha oil filter, anyone use the $10 K&N filter? $15 is a little steep for a oil filter!

I use the K&N with no problems, never had a leak.

The blinking "R" is just an indicator that lets you know the quad is hitting higher revs without moving. Its not mentioned in the manual, but most of us Raptor owners have got the light to come on and asked the same question. If it comes on when revving the engine, just hop on and ride it up the driveway....it'll go away....

if you want a black filter get the bosch 3033 and if you want a blue one get the stp 6607.
