Default banshee's rule!

I've seen that article in dirt wheels with that guy going 100mph on his banshee. How fast can these monsters go. I know it depends on how much money you hav, but what's the fastest you have seen?

a banshee with pipes, porting, high compression pistons, and larger carbs would probably pull 100mph with the right gearing. It might take a while but I think it would get there eventually.

There's nothing like a 2stroke for flat out speed.

hiram.....porting must make a HUGE difference on a shee.....cause I raced my buddy the other day that has reeds, new reed cages, t6s, k&n no lid, and reed spacers......and I just SPANKED his azZ

Porting does make a big difference. So does ground traction though. Dirt and grass I have a hard time beating a 686, but in the sand its unlikely they are ahead of me now. Love the banshee but traction has always been a problem on one. Rider ability makes a good difference. I watched my dad walk a 727 by 2 bikes at Little Sahara, and he did it 3 times in a row. It was a good looking orange raptor with a lot of work. Even he stopped and was impressed because only a few people had been able to pull him that day. Go figure, at least its a Yamaha!

BigScary, T6's are not a top end pipe and your right I still cannot beleave what a animal I have with the little work I did. Let me let you visialize how impressive it is now, I beat my friends Banshee that would always beat my 686 Raptor. He has all kinds of work to his bike including porting, his running Tommey t-4's which are a top end pipe,I tell you even he was amazed and wanted to know was it my CPI pipes or my porting, I told him maybe both. One minor detail I also ported my stock reed cages and the time and dedication I took porting was unreal, just ask my wife, she couldn't take the noise from the grinder anymore and was happier than me when I finished. I worked on it for a week and a half and would of keep on if it wasn't for I looked at the time and it was 2:00 in the morning and I wanted to ride the next day. So I started rebuilding her that same night and 15 minutes later she fired right up.....................now that was priceless.

I have an article in a local quad mag and they have a Raptor doing 108 Miles per hour. Basically a 686 (Not even all out hot) with special gearing. Then the same guys have a banshee doing 133 miles per hour. Clocked with a radar gun. I am from South Africa, you telling me they only brag about 100 mile per hour banshees where you from....lol

I clocked my 'shee at 87mph w/ a 15t front sprocket, fatty's, reeds(whooptydo!!), cool-head, and a pro-flow/k&n setup beside a 3000gt. I believe that top speed is EASILY obtainable. I have no trouble taking rappys, z's or any other 4 stroke (w/similar mods) off the line anymore since I shortend my swingarm. My 'shee hooks like a rappy now.
