I have just recently instaled some FMF fatty pipes Power reeds and K&N filter on my 97 Banshee. Now that I have got it jetted properly. I have noticed that the clutch is starting to slip. Is this typical or just a coincidence ? Should I just put heavier springs in the old clutch or replace it with a heavy duty clutch.

i put toomeys on mine last march, and by july i put in a toomey clutch kit. the extra power seemed to overwhelm the stock clutch, and cause it to slip. word of advice, though...if you use the toomey clutch, putting in all six heavier springs will give you a grip from hell! those springs make the clutch seriously stiff, but i have only had to adjust it once due to wear in a years time. good luck.

I also had a similar problem with my banshee. I bored it .60 over added fmf fattys and already had plenty of other mods on it,and it seemed like it was slipping! But it seemed to disapeer after a few weekends of good hard riding.
My machine is an 89,my clutch is still stock, and I had the clutch out a month ago and the plates still look great!!
Which sucks,im looking for an excuse to get a new one with a hinson clutch cover.
