AHHHH....it failed!

Upon more clear thinking......I think I may have shocked the transmission. I hit a rock section hard enough too compress 3 tires and slit these tires on the rims....and this is at 6.5 lbs of air in each tire. This machine had the fortin gearset and new shift forks installed at around this time last year....I am not gonna take any chances and reluctantly install the slow a#$ 02 up gearset...

UPDATE....upon tearing down my transmission, I have / had have a faulty shift fork that failed and blew out 2nd - 4th gears (this has not happenned on a 01 Raptor I have heard about). All shift forks were replaced the last time the Fortin gearset was installed. After considering a multiple tire blowout on the quad and I was traveling at a high rate through extremely rough terrain (too say the least), it is my opinion that no transmission would have made it through this. My wrists are just now feeling better. IMO, reverse is still the problem on 01 Raptor failures. I felt I should update everyone on my 01 Raptor prognosis. Later gents.

I edited my first post for information purposes. I will still be updating the 01 gearset with an 02 because at this point a couple lengths is not worth lugging the heavy Raptor around on the tight trails I travel on occasion. I still feel no light sport quad chould have reverse though.
