Warrior engine
#1
Check this out,
My 2004 Warrior with less than 20 hours on it has been in the shop 5 times. This time I finally got a call through to Yamaha Customer Service to discuss this with them. They finally told the dealer to fix it right. The first time I took it in I told them that it sounds like the wrist pin is loose everytime that it gets hot. Well they finally tore it down and the piston was hour glass shaped and the wrist pin was floating in it. Faulty piston they said. So finally after fighting with them and Yamaha I'm finally getting the engine rebuilt. I guess sometimes it does good to do a little screaming to get things done right. My advice is to don't take any guff from your dealer, go straight to the top and get it done right. Needless to say this quad is for sale, $4500.00 with 2 year extended warranty, and AZ road legal.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Luckily I haven't had one single problem with mine so far .. *knock on wood* It really blows when you're not getting the proper service from the dealer. At least Yamaha stepped up to bat for you with the dealer. From all I've heard they don't often do that. Poor product support is the story I get from most people.

What a bummer! I guess there is always a bad one "lemon" in the bunch. Too bad you had to go through so much trouble to get them to fix it.
Arizona street legal! Man am I jeleous! That is completely unheard of in California. Maybe I should I move?
