i haven't been riding atvs for very long but have been on dirt bikes scince i was 5. i've rode both the yz450 and the cfr450 and they are both strong runners. i have a feeling the quads are going to be the same way. i know there is suppose to be a little difference in the motors, something to do with some race rules? but they should be close enough to the bikes they come from to make it come down to the riders.

If it isn't better than the yamaha their will be alot of mad honda fans. If the first year trx isn't as good I'm sure honda will make it better the next year. both machines will get better each year and everyone will win. I'm sure that rider skill will seperate them on the track.

I still think the Raptor is better
Nobody knows hardly anything about the TRX. The YFZ has been out for some time. The information in the thread that you may have perceived as "Yamaha bashing" was just a small insight into some news and rumors on the TRX that I've heard or read. Sorry if I offended any Yamaha riders with this thread but those were NOT my intentions. And to Starky, I didn't bash Yamaha so please don't bash Honda, that's absolutely not why I set this thread up. I figured I could get just some straight-forward opinions on this, guess I was wrong. My bad.

O please, you can bring that crap somewhere else. Between the title of the thread, your signature, and the fact the Honda hasn't even come out yet what did you expect....maybe an open discussion on ideas of what the out come will be. Pahhh leeease

Yeah they will probably add some brand new bold high performance graghics for it in 05. LOL

On paper, it appears the YFZ will be a better racer.....but why bother comparing the two because the TRX is not on the market yet. If anyone has a 400ex with a de-tuned 450 engine we can compare them now.

Yamaha makes other ATVs than the YFZ. Honda makes other machines than the 450R
