I know I'll probably get myself in trouble somehow for doing this, but I just had to. Any of you Yamaha guys gettin' worried the new red machine's gonna steal some thunder from ol' blue? I don't really think Honda can afford to blow this one because it's been so long since they've had a good racer. You've also got that legenday reliability. I'm not brand loyal to blue or red, just wanted some thoughts and opinions from some people, preferably YFZ owners that aren't die-hard Yamahammer fans. By the way, the magazines are all saying the best the TRX can possibly do is tie the YFZ. All I've got to say is, with Honda..............ya never know

I dont own a yfz YET, but when looking at the specs to me it seems the yamaha should beat the honda in just about every way. It has more travel, electric start, weighs the same, I beleive it has more compression but could be wrong on that one. I think it is lower, longer and wider also.
I was hoping honda would come out with a foot of travel at both ends, but oh well. I think with equal mods they will be very equal machines. But stock to stock it seems the yfz is a better machine.
Thats my opinion, take it for what its worth, about 2 cents.
