Default spark arrestor

I have been reading post here about spark arrestor necessary in National Forest in Arkansas. Does anyone know if the 03 Kodiak 450 and the 03 Blaster have a spark arrestor built in from the factory? Not sure what one is or if my quads have them, any replies would be helpful and thanks in advance.

Yes, they do have them from the factory. They have to, unless its something like the yz450f dirtbike, where technically its for closed course riding only (because of the lack of a sparky). But yeah, both the blaster and the kodiak will have them.
A good way to just be sure is look down the tail pipe. If there is a bunch of crap in the way you got one. Also what you can do is take a long srew driver and try to slide it all the way down the length of the exhaust. You shouldnt beable to if you have a sparky.
Another good way is to look on the ouside of the exhaust, for a imprint saying u.s.f.s approves spark arrester, or something to that nature. It would also say in your manual.
Hope I helped. Have a good one!
