Default Offset wheels on a Warrior

I recently got a Warrior. I want to change out the wheels and I was wondering what is the advantages and disadvantages of running offset rims. I am looking at a pair of rear ITP 9X9 with a 6-3 offset. I guess the wider offset will make the machine more stable. Will it have any affect on the axles? Should I use wheel spacers on the front to make the front wider also. This is my first ATV so I want to do what is correct. Thanks

Offset rims gives you better handling. Some say that they are not good for your quad, but I dont think they would hurt anything. If anything your axle would be more likely to bend if you get real big air. i havent had any problems with mine yet, as far as wheel spacers I dont trust them and wouldnt suggest them, I have heard some bad stories about them.

The most correct way to widen a quad front end and maintain prpoer geometry is to go with longer A-arms. But, that's pretty expensive for the sport guys. I use offset wheels and have had good luck. Even though it's not the best way to go it seems to work well in general and I've never had any problems. That combined with a Denton steering stabilizer makes a pretty nice improvement.

for a limited budget offset wheels would work fine.. but an aftermarket axle is the way to go.. i was lucky enough to find a quad that already had one on it... my friend has 2inch spacers on the back of his 250ex.. none of his wheels have feel off yet

You can experiment a bit. If you wheels are like my warrior's, they are offset in. Just flip the rims around (so the valve stem is on the inside). There you go, wider rear end.
