G'day seeyeah,
I installed a vortex cdi which is made here in australia and it was probably the best mod
I have The throttle response compared to standard Raptors is like chalk and cheese
I posted a thread a while back to say such and my opinion is still that it works really well
The job that the vortex people have done is first rate and switching from power to traction to torque settings are quite noticable but all my opinions are based on seat of the pants and not on dyno's
We have a hill here called " suicide " which has a small beach at the base but at the wrong tide it is 'suicide ' to try the hill as the ocean washes up to the base and it seems about as steep as choke cherry that i have seen on dadogriders videos
anyway on power settings the raptor digs a trench most of the way up but on torque setting it humms up
and holds the power at about 7000 rpms and doesnt die out like a standard cdi
anyway hope this helps

Hi Coyote,
The tacho I have is a pulse tacho and reads off the spark plug lead
it maintains maximum revs and total running time which is handy for services as it only reads when motor is running
. it is hard to read at full noise down a bush track as trying to look for speed, revs and corners all at once becomes a bit hairy so i generally just hang on and retreive figures once we've stopped to talk when we get back to the vehicles
