raptor vs. z-400
I have a video of me racing a z400 modded about the same as mine. I took him by a quad or 2. I have riden both stock and you will see a good difference in the torque between the two. The terrain greatly makes a race I found out. I spun through third while the Z caught traction faster or I might have taken him even worse. No offense Z owners they are nice quads...

Just think about CCs 400cc vs 660cc it is easy to see what will make more hp and torque, Both quads are very nice but its like saying small block like a "350" vs "454" sure the small block will put out some power but just build up a big block and you got a monster.... But biger is not always better "in some cases" the raptor clearly puts out way more power and touque.....

I dont know if a Z is WAY easier to wheelie or jump. Jetting--sure. I DO know I was suprised at how much power Z's have for a 400! And they handle great too. Compared to an EX (stock for stock), the Z is probably closer to the Raptor than the EX. Its like the difference between a Warrior and a Banshee. They're both 350's but.........

I dragged a Z around 1/8-1/4 mile (not sure exactly) on about a 20 degree incline on an old backroad. For some reason he really thought he could beat me, we were at a summer party and afte he bugged me for 30 mins in a row, I did it. I'm not to fond of dragging uphill on pavement but heres how it went. As for performance I only had a Sparks X-6 system, K&N filter, jetted, and no lid, he had a white bro pipe, stock header, K&N, jettted, and no lid. Well we got to the start and before the guy tht was tellin us to "GO" even thought about putting his hands down, this kid just sped away. Meanwhile this caught me off guard, that with my limited dragging experience on pavement, and being uphill. Well I dumped the clutch w/ too much gas did a really long wheelie (front tires were just 1 foot in the air till I hit 4th), I caught but the the little **** after about 300ft, and passed him, he never went back to the party. It's easy to see the difference, a 400 and a 660, cmon. He did have Weisco piston stickers on but it didnt drive faster than any other Z I've riden with.

Kraw, Like i said sometimes "bigger is not always better" yfz makes more power stock then the raptor... build up the raptor and the yfz then we will see what makes more hp then.....
As for user friendly i have ridden both the z-400 and Raptor in stock form and i like them both nice quads, I think the raptor has a little more power and torque..... Both are easy to drive but the Raptor takes some time to get use to it, It seems a little top heavy to me....
